How we verify new businesses
Nuwbii is only useful if “new” means new. We do not rank by ad spend or review count. This is how a listing earns (and keeps) the Verified New badge.
The 90-day window
Verified New is shown when the listed start date is within the last 90 days. After that the badge drops and the shop stays in search without the newness boost. Coming soon and soft opening statuses are allowed before the public date.
What owners attest
- They own or are authorized to represent the business.
- The start date is the real opening or first-customer date, not a website refresh.
- The address, phone, and photos belong to that location.
- Grand-opening offers are actually honored during the dates shown.
What we check
A listing published from a signed-in account is a claimed listing. Unclaimed seed listings are marked as directory examples until an owner takes them over. We may ask for a lease, occupancy permit, Secretary of State filing, or a dated social post if a start date looks wrong — and we will remove the badge if we cannot confirm it.
Report a listing
If a shop is not actually new, or an offer is fake, tell us through the contact form. If you are the owner, sign in and publish from the dashboard.
